Top Notch Border Collies moved from Florida to the Upstate in South Carolina in June 2020. We have been breeding Border Collies since 2012 and currently have four living with us in our home. We are passionate about this breed and do not consider ourselves a "kennel" because our dogs always live in comfort as members of our family. Showing these wonderful dogs is our hobby, and we personally participate in many different events including conformation, obedience, rally-o, agility, dock diving, CAT, FastCAT, disc, herding, and barn hunt.

My love for this breed began in 2001 when I purchased my first border collie, Allie, from a farm. I soon discovered my love for dog training and enrolled in college in 2010 to become a certified dog trainer, earning the ABCDT certification. In 2018, I acquired the CPDT-KA certification. I have also been an AKC CGC Evaluator since 2009. I've been running my own training business since 2015. In addition, I was a K9 Training Coordinator from January 2018 to March 2020, where my job as Training Manager was to design and execute a training program for the pet resort's three locations. Currently, I continue to pursue my career by running my training and grooming business in South Carolina under the name All Access Dogs, LLC.

Showing our dogs was a family affair. We all enjoyed the weekend getaways together with the dogs. We were excited about our son joining in the fun as he grew up. However, everything changed when our son was attacked by a Rottweiler in public (not at a dog show). Thankfully he is doing well but he now understandably has hesitation towards strange dogs and no longer wishes to participate in anything but Dock Diving with Angus or joining me on a rare occasion to our Breed Nationals. So now I spend more of my time mentoring others both in the breed and those interested in learning about specific performance sports. Meeting new people and making friends along the way has made this journey in life so wonderful.

My goal is to work hard to reach each dog's ultimate potential and to bring wonderful companions into this world who are healthy, structurally sound, versatile, and maintain a stronger herding instinct for a show line. We strive to breed puppies that will succeed in all areas of performance and show while maintaining a sound mind that enables the dog to thrive on or off the farm.

We only breed on a rare occasion, mainly for self purposes, and enjoy watching these wonderful pups grow. I spend countless hours learning pedigrees, going over dogs, talking, researching, and learning from those in my breed and those outside it. I expel a lot of energy and time finding them loving forever homes. I support each family who chooses one of my puppies and let them know they are now a part of our extended family. I'm always here for them whenever they need advice or support. That is what family is for.

I'm there if one needs to come back and will aggressively pursue the return of one of my dogs if it's in distress. I vow to be their voice because they don't have one. I support my breed in education and health. I share my knowledge and socialize my dogs so that they will be the advertisement for my dedication. I'm well known for my willingness to mentor others who want it. I don't keep track of the money and time I put into my love of dogs, it would not be a true measure of how I feel.

The price I charge for my puppies is not just for profit, but rather an investment in the next generation. I work tirelessly to be a good dog breeder and trainer, taking pride in everything I do. I always look forward to each new class I teach, and I enjoy building strong relationships with the owners of our puppies. I feel truly blessed to be able to turn my hobby into a lifestyle.
